Lovivo Gallery is situated in Shenyang's old city, inside Huaiyuan Gate, adjacent to the Imperial Palace. The street frontage is narrow, but the building extends deep, resulting in suboptimal natural light and limitations as an exhibition space. The first and second floors are conceptual spaces, with a design concept rooted in technology.
The east and west walls are glass, creating a visually infinite horizontal extension and a powerful spatial experience. The materials are extremely simple, devoid of subjective color, consisting entirely of white steel-like volumes. A seemingly disordered, floating illusion generates a technological aesthetic.
The second floor continues the ground floor's sense of order, using angled elements to echo the design language of the lower level and connect it to the upper space. The space is composed of black, white, and gray, lit by linear lights and anti-glare spotlights. The long linear lights enhance the space's technological feel and flexibility. Most of the furniture is movable, creating a café area, a lounge area, and a projection area for daily use. This space can also be adapted for larger gatherings on special occasions.
