Application: Contour Lighting, Cove Lighting
The Permanent Site for the World Laureates Forum is located in the northwest corner of the International Innovation Collaborative Zone in the Lingang New Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. To the north lies a ring-shaped lake park, and to the south, the ocean stretches to the horizon. The building's abstract design evokes the image of wings about to take flight, extending "twin wings" toward the city.
The building aims to use the World Top Scientists Forum space as its core to create a globally influential platform for scientific and technological innovation and cooperation, integrating various functional groups (exhibitions, conferences, theaters, hotels, etc.). While meeting the needs of conferences, it will also serve as an important comprehensive urban node.
The interior design emphasizes spatial openness and the creation of a modern image, establishing a shared, free, and vibrant spatial character, using a simple and coherent design language to organize each space. A shared hall connects various spaces, with a starry-sky ceiling design symbolizing a "gathering of stars."
The irregular spaces converge towards a central focal point, forming a natural plaza that fosters interaction and exchange. The main hall spaces emphasize the creation of an overall sense of space, using lines, light, and shadow to create a sense of visual extension. The depiction and interpretation of exquisite patterns from nature convey precision and perfection, reflecting the rhythm and vitality of the space.
